About me

me_portraitHello. I am a Professor of the Geography Program at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and a former  Canada Research Chair in Glacier Change. Other research  interests include process geomorphology, paleo-environmental reconstruction, process geomorphology, quaternary and surficial geology, and surface hydrology. My undergraduate and Master’s degrees are from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and my PhD is from the University of British Columbia (2002). I have been interested in the mountains since high school. I enjoy hiking, skiing, camping, canoeing, and being a father of two boys.
